Holmwood Lavender Farm at Thornton in the Lockyer Valley welcomes tourist visits and group bookings by appointment. We offer our visitors morning or afternoon tea, including lavender scones and a slice of Lemon Myrtle cheese cake and then they head to our on-site shop for a bit of retail therapy “lavender style”.
Our visitors enjoy relaxing under the marquee on the lawn area adjacent to the garden and taking in the sights of the lavender and bush food plants, as well as watching our two donkeys in the field nearby. Gary gives our visitors a talk about the growing and uses of lavender and native myrtle and explains how these ingredients are incorporated in our products. Phone ahead to order lavender devonshire tea and lemon myrtle cheesecake or drop in to smell the lavender and pick up some handmade lavender and lemon myrtle products. Open 10.00 to 3.00pm First Sunday each month.
